Terms & Conditions
As a customer it is extremely important that you read through all of the below information.
I am covering the whole of Rhondda Cynon Taff and therefore bookings need to be made at minimum 3 days in advance. Bookings will be taken on a first come first serve basis, so please book as soon as you can. If you require the same walk/s each week at the same time/days then please inform me of this and I will continue too book you in each week, until you notify me otherwise.
My first 2 walks with your canine will be a trial to make sure I am a great fit for he/she. Should I feel that I am not the right person for your canine I will inform you of reasoning and I will not be able to provide any further walks.
By law all canines must wear an identification tag, this must be attached to either their collar or harness and therefore I will not be walking any canine if they have not got their identification tag. I will check this before every walk because I will be the person in control of your canine and I will be liable for the fine. If your canines tag is not attached to their harness or collar upon my arrival I will cancel their walk, inform you why and you will not receive a refund. (If you accept me using photos of your canine I will blur out any visible dog tags)
All canines must be up to date with vaccinations, treated regularly with flea and worming treatments. You must inform me and your vet if your canine shows any signs of kennel cough. I will not be able to walk your canine for up 2 weeks after all symptoms are gone.
Should you have a change of circumstances and you would like to cancel a walk please make me aware of this as soon as possible with at least 48 hours’ notice of your booking. Cancel within the 48 hour period then you must still pay for the booking and there will be no refunds. This is because I am unable to fill your slot at such short notice.
If you require me to let myself in to your home then I will request a spare key which will be locked in a safe within my home for when it is not needed. No keys in my care will be labelled with any addresses. I will have my own system in place so that only I will know whose key is whose. Alternatively, a locked box with a key in on the outside of your property can be used. I will not accept any keys that are not secure for example under matts, pots or anything alike as I cannot take responsibility for keys if they are not secure should they get lost or stolen.
In addition to the above, if you require me to enter your home, your canine also must be ok with this. If he/she was to show any aggression towards me entering your home I will cancel their walk immediately, I will inform you and you will not receive a refund on your booking.
Please be aware that the weather is not always sunshine and rainbows, therefore your canine will be getting dirty and wet. No matter what the weather I will not stop any canine from going in muddy puddles or bodies of water, unless I deem it to be dangerous. I have got my own towels on hand and I will get them as dry and clean as I possibly can before I return them home, however I cannot guarantee this will be up to your standards.
Having the above mentioned, I will cancel walks during periods of extremely hot weather in this instance I will prioritise elderly or disabled owners and canines who have been home for long periods of time. I will offer drop ins through the day and/or walks in the cooler periods of the day. I will also cancel walks during periods of extreme ice.
Please be aware that your canine will be travelling in my vehicle on group walks and occasionally on solo walks. With group walks I will try my best to pick up/drop off as quickly as I can to reduce their time spent in my vehicle. Please allow me extra time than your booking request to do this. Sometime we might be delayed due to traffic or our walk might run over.
Bookings can be made via email, message, WhatsApp or Facebook messenger. If you choose to ring me then please leave a voice message. If I do not answer as it is highly likely that I will either be driving or out on a dog walk and will return your call as soon as possible.
Invoices will be sent out on Fridays via email for the walks your canine has received that week. Sometime this maybe earlier. Payments via bank transfer must be made by Sundays before the following week begins. I will only accept cash on a before walk basis. If you become more than one week behind with payments. I will not continue to walk your canine. My details for payments will always be on invoices.
**When making payments please put your canines name and your surname as a reference.**
If I choose to take holidays I will give you at least 4 weeks’ notice to make other arrangements or offer you an alternative during that period. I am only human I rarely come down with an illness but if I do this maybe at short notice and I will give you a full refund of any bookings you have made during the period of illness.
Group walks:
Before allowing your canine into any of our group walks I will request 2 solo walks first. This is so I can gauge if he/she is the right fit for a group walk. This is to protect them and my other canines on our walks. I myself would like to get to know your canine as an individual and vice versa.
If I feel at any time that your canine’s behaviour has changed severely whilst on a group walk I will contact you with a reasoning, cancel their walk with immediate effect and I will return the canine back to his/hers home this to protect all of our canine customers. Should the above happen I will only suggest solo walks until their normal behaviour has returned. And you will not receive a refund.
Regretfully, I am unable to walk any breed that falls under the banned breed legislation i.e. XL bullies, Pit bull Terrier, Brazilian Mastiffs etc. This is mainly due to insurance purposes.
